About Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini Yoga and Meditation, the Yoga of Awareness, was brought to the West by Yogi Bhajan in 1968. Yogi Bhajan taught that, through the practice of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation, your glandular and nervous systems are stimulated, and your capacity for creative potential is heightened. You gain inner vitality to compensate for the adverse effects of stress so you can excel in life.
Kundalini yoga classes are a dynamic blend of postures, pranayam (breath exercises) mantra (sound), music and meditation, which teach you the art of relaxation, self-healing and elevation. Balancing body and mind enables you to experience the clarity and beauty of your soul.

No previous experience in yoga is required for you to achieve results with your very first class.

Cynthia Weir, Certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher

Cynthia Weir is a Yoga Alliance 200 KRI Certified Instructor of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan.  Cynthia’s introduction to yoga began when she was 12 years old at the Sivananda Yoga Center with her Grandmother who was a Hatha Yoga teacher.  Yoga would remain in the background as she pursued a professional career.

She relocated to Boulder County from Chicago three years ago and is thrilled to be a part of the life that is rural Colorado.  Having retired as a Vice President-Investment Management from Harris Bank in Chicago when her son was born, Cynthia has enjoyed rediscovering the passions of her youth—yoga, creative writing, horses, hiking and handwork.

As a wife and mother, she is most interested in the work of yoga off the mat--As a ‘householder’ building a rural life with her family and a menagerie of horses, miniature donkeys, dogs and bees, she finds great support and enrichment from her yoga practice and enjoys sharing the wisdom with others, helping them discover the healthy, joyful, prosperous and fulfilling lives that we as humans are meant to create.
